I also noticed that messenger integration (and facebook) is gone. I never used
it either, but I don't get why they give one thing and immediately turn around
and remove something else. It'd be one thing if they took it down to fix it, or
make it better, but with it taking them years to turn around the integrated
Calendar tab, I have no hopes of ever seeing messenger integrated again. Good
riddance.

I could be wrong but I think she wants to stop receiving emails from the group.
And I don't think your usual method of pointing out how she can unsubscribe

I'll wait & see if they respond, to clarify what they were talking about. I'm not under the impression that they want to unsubscribe, otherwise they would've said so. It's possible they meant to send it to another group, since they're referencing a problem with other members which has not occured in this group.

An improvement for Yahoo! Mail would be to implement some sort of smart label
for flags so that you can just click on "Flagged Email" in the left column and
display all emails that have been flagged regardless of their folder location.
As it is now, I can sort on the flag column to display all flagged emails first
in a given folder but without excluding non-flagged emails in the same folder
view. And I can't see all flagged emails if I have them separated in different
folders.

Ha, this sounds like a quality control issue on Yahoo's part. How can we all be
working off the same "build" of yahoo, but yet be seeing different options. It
sure looks like they push out that build notice to all servers, but not all
servers actually get the updated software.

As some of you might have hear, Microsoft who bought Skype last year just
announced that Windows Live Messenger will be gone by the beginning of next year
and has invited everyone to migrate to Skype.

http://is.gd/2jPj78

There is a way to import your current WLMessenger contacts. However , no word
has been shared concerning the current interoperability with Y! Messenger.
Currently you cannot add a Y! Messenger contact.

Will this option be available in the future ?

Hold down the "alt" button on the keyboard and then click on the "Yahoo! Mail"
logo in the upper left part of the screen. A pop-up window should appear which
reveals the exciting build information along with a picture of a cat or else
something scenic. Currently I'm seeing a campground setting with a campfire at
dusk.

You can type in  " flagged:1 " in the search box.
This will give you a list of flagged messages across Folders.

Admit that it is not as good as having a smart folder though.

button on the keyboard and then click on the "Yahoo! Mail" logo in the upper
left part of the screen.  A pop-up window should appear which reveals the
exciting build information along with a picture of a cat or else something
scenic.  Currently I'm seeing a campground setting with a campfire at dusk.

this sounds like a quality control issue on Yahoo's part.  How can we
all be working off the same "build" of yahoo, but yet be seeing
different options. It sure looks like they push out that build notice to
all servers, but not all servers actually get the updated software.

Running into a brick wall. Ymail does not approve my message, thought I would
try again.
Also customer service sends me in circles when I ask about this. Must be time to
change providers.
I am glad I have started that process.

I wonder what else I am missing. Now Customer Unservice now tells me - I'm sorry, but we don't support Yahoo! Calendar

Very nice indeed as there was no any scheduled maintenance notice yesterday on any day before.

very good point. I guess it depends on Microsoft and their data on how useful the service inter-operability with Yahoo is. Not sure how this will work out, could go either way, though I suspect Yahoo will fight to stick with a sizeable messenger / vidoe chat crowd (Skype & Facebook).

As some of you might have hear, Microsoft who bought Skype last year just announced that Windows Live Messenger will be gone by the beginning of next year and has invited everyone to migrate to Skype.

http://is.gd/2jPj78

There is a way to import your current WLMessenger contacts. However , no word has been shared concerning the current interoperability with Y! Messenger. Currently you cannot add a Y! Messenger contact.

Will this option be available in the future ?

I wondered if a pop-up blocker might by preventing Cindy from seeing the build
info so I tried enabling pop-up blocker as a test. Even with pop-up blocker
enabled, I could still get the build info successfully.

Howdy from East Texas!
I've been using Yahoo thru ATT (SWB) dial-up since 1995. Had an early problem
with spammers getting into my contacts so I kept that empty to thwart that
hassle. This spring some spammer from Linkedin began using my addy to send spam
to other Linkedin clients with links to sites on Linkedin. I discovered it after
checking my spam mailbox to see why it accumulated so much in a short period of
time. Just saw alot of out of office notices, etc and no warnings nor
complaints. I did notify Linkedin and lodged a complaint. After that I lost the
ability to send and recieve emails from personal contacts. Checked out Yahoo!
mail help and it seemed that they labeled me as a spammer. Tried following their
instructions to correct that by changing the inbound and outbound settings yet
never could find the box to do that. (I did for Windows Live but it won't work
either) I plodded thru yahoo's instructions several times and when the sequence
came to the mythical settings it sent me back to the beginning!

I tried calling Yahoo! customer service several times only to be placed on hold
forever and a day, so I emailed them about the problem. Got a nice reply a few
days later saying I was a valued customer and they were looking into it. Guess
they did something because shortly later I could send emails to two other Yahoo!
groups I belong to when earlier I couldn't, tho many still don't get sent and
oddly wind up in the saved draft box. Informed Yahoo! about that curiousity and
have yet to hear back from them. Guess they're scratching their heads over that
like me.
If you have any suggestions over what's going on and how to correct this mess
I'll be very appreciative.

I'm using a new HP Pavilion p6 w/Win 7. It had nearly all the updates and
service packs downloaded before the problem started. I downloaded the free
CCCleaner when I first hooked it up since it worked fine on my ancient HP
Pavilion. I use it to clear out garbage before shutting down and to check the
registry for problems. It found a few of the typical stuff that wasn't email
related.

I was not sure if the pop up blocker was preventing it to open. I just assumed. I had to allow pop ups in Yahoo last year for web links in the email that I get from friends. :)
