mine is still there, but not surprising. Didn't yahoo say they were going to remove it? Zumodrive were bought by motorola which was then bought by google, so no development on it for 2 years nearly.

Shame as it was a real dropbox rival.

And think of the potential of actually having a virtual drive like that integrated into your email. Preceded MS Skydrive by over a year. Yet again, another yahoo missed opportunity.

Over the past few weeks, I have noticed that Yahoo mail is very slow to load.
Once loaded it seems to work ok.

This has nothing to do with which browser I'm using. I use both the latest
version of Chrome, and IE9, on three different computers. Two computers are 32
bit, and one is 64 bit.

The same slow loading happens on all machines.

Does Yahoo mail have a new problem that no one is talking about.
(Hotmail works fine on all 3 machines)

I noticed some of the servers (not farms) weren't responding, or may be
responding very slowly.

I wouldn't say it's been a few weeks, but I haven't been keeping count.

I have noticed recently that more spam is getting by the Yahoo mail spam filter
the past month or so. Before only 1 or 2 spam messages appeared in inbox. Now I
see about 10 -12 spam email in my inbox.

Alright, this may seem minor but :

Iam now able to be logged in both Yahoo! Mail Messenger and Yahoo Messenger on
my iPhone at the same time.

basically it means that I can chat on Yahoo! Mail while being reachable on my
Yahoo! Voice phone number account.

That's good news, to me at least.... unless.. this is just yet another bug...

I usually select "all messages" in Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail to mark unread
messages as read whenever I have already read them somewhere else

On Hotmail and Gmail this is done in less than one second vs 5 to 10 secondes in
Yahoo! Mail. That's a really pain.

Only when I manually select unread messages in Yahoo! Mail does the action
perform quickly, but again, i don't want to have to lose time and manually
select those unread messages. i simply select all of them.

A work around would be to allow use to quickly select "All unread messages".

Didn't one of the earlier versions of Yahoo! Mail give us the ability to select
emails by type, e.g., read messages, unread messages, flagged messages, etc.?
Too bad they lost that selective selection ability somewhere during Yahoo! Mails
evolution. I too have noticed that Yahoo! seems a bit slow when it must process
all emails in a folder.

The options are still there for the search selection GUI, but the keyword search
capability seems to be gone.

I don't search emails often, but when I do I expect all the tools to remain
available. Oh well, so much for that.

Funny like a tragic comedy.

Seriously, even the flagship YMail can't get its act together. Calendar
integration isn't there yet after 8 years and mail search is still a mess, with
features appearing and disappearing like random events.

It's so sad that the lack of direction has become the defining quality of the
company.

Subject: Google Chrome Translation Shenanigans with Yahoo Mail

Yahoo Mail is my main email account. I use Google Chrome as my main browser. My
emails are usually always in English except for spam with Chinese or Arabic
hieroglyphics in the title. However today every time I hovered the mouse cursor
over an email title Google Chrome opened up a small window offering to translate
the English words into - um well - English. This window also offered to
translate each word by highlighting it in yellow. The incredibly annoying aspect
of this 'translation window' is that as I moved the cursor around the window
kept offering to translate the different titles. Then when I opened each email
the text inside was highlighted and the 'translation window' offered yet againn
to translate from English into English. I couldn't get rid of it. This is not a
feature I have chosen to use. I haven't updated Chrome for at least a year. So
where has this feature come from? Is it something implemented by Yahoo Mail? BTW
I still use Classic. And more to the point how can I stop it happening? Many
thanks - Chris B.

For some time I did a superficial test AOL Mail and found that it is very similar to Yahoo Mail, which once again reaffirms the maxima that "there's nothing original under the sun". Besides having very similar features, AOL Mail also has its integrated IM and with his own version of Yahoo Updates (Lifestream).
While I will not become an AOL Mail user for sure I think about becoming a user of AOL Lifestream.
