"Under the terms of the Wild Horse and Burro Act of 1971, the BLM and the NFS are empowered to reduce numbers of animals in order to maintain a thriving ecological balance. They can be humanely destroyed, but before that drastic action is taken, it is hoped that qualified people throughout the country, like yourselves, can and will provide care for an excess wild horse or burro under the custodial arrangement set up by the U.S. Government." This group is based out of Wyoming, however it is not intended to be exclusively for Wyomingites nor mustangs. Wy_Mustangs will offer training tips, health tips, and other horse related topics.
