1. FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK
===================================

Greetings, Writers!

Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it? Time got away from us, and we've all been pretty busy with some changes in the New Year.

We here at Writers Remember are excited and honored to have been named as one of Writer's Digest's 101 Best Websites for Writers!! This is quite an honor, and we thank those of you who nominated and voted for us!

We've got some changes coming at Writers Remember, including a blog where we will post regular updates about what's going on at the site and forums.

I hope you all are having a wonderful 2007 so far! I've been busy with editing a few books, as well as writing for a local glossy magazine. I've also been reminded of the necessity of the values behind Writers Remember, as I often feel misunderstood among my peers with my passion for the written word.

Enjoy this issue!

Keep writing,

Julia Temlyn

7. ARTICLE: A Challenging New Year, by Diane Penna
===================================
As a writer, I spend the majority of my day sitting down, with my fingers in a frenzy on the keyboard. Unfortunately, the exercise my hands receive does nothing for my body, and many of my writer-friends will attest to this as well. I did something about my growing seat-cushion this week, and joined Weight Watchers. Little did I know that just during my first meeting I would gleam knowledge applicable to all areas of my life, including my writing career. I have been sharing the message with as many as I can; its power is amazing. Continue reading here...
