World_Folklore E-mail Group was established in February 2002 with the aim of developing a strong link among people all around the world who care about folklore.
The principal idea is to give a chance to folk dance/music groups and festivals to find and contact each other much more easily. However, it is certainly possible to share issues about any other field of folklore, as well.
Besides sending and receiving e-mails, the features provided on the group web site can be used by the members to publish information about themselves, their groups, festivals, workshops, schools, concerts, exhibitions, etc.
Non-members can also see the message archive, now. This means that members' announcements can now reach the whole World!
The group highly welcomes any amateur/professional, working/retired, active/passive members interested in folklore. If you are interested you are cordially invited to join us.
Note that, now there is also a sister site of the group on Facebook, named World_Folklore Appreciators, and aimed to provide a less formal and more friendly medium for folklore lovers around the world.
