WoodworkGalore is a discussion list for woodworkers and is a place to talk about woodworking practices and methods, equipment and materials, and all sorts of projects. The word galore means "abundance" and woodworking in abundance is what we want on WoodworkGalore. Since we're friendly, and we want a "homey" list, some, non-persistent, off topic messaging is expected. If they become too persistent, they will be foreshortened. Also, members may tout their work even if for sale so long as the effort doesn't come across too commercially. The list is actively moderated to eliminate spam and curtail ill-mannered threads.

Because of problems with spam and viruses, we have begun to monitor new members. That effort is only to ensure that members interested in woodworking, not spamming, can post. As soon as your intent in that regard becomes clear, restrictions are removed. This effort is not to censor your woodworking discussion, just a way of preventing problems seen on other lists. Please, if you have comments, suggestions, (or complaints), about the administration of the list, direct them to the moderators, rather than the entire list. You may do that by addressing them to WoodworkGalore-Owner@yahoogroups.com . Comments about spam and viruses are not allowed, they too should be addressed to the moderators.
