Description

For residents and lovers of the Wensum Valley area including the villages of Attlebridge, Lenwade, Morton On The Hill and Weston Longville, the home of the celebrated 18th century diarist Parson Woodforde. Please post any relevant news or opinions and feel free to promote any forthcoming events ( the calendar section is useful ). There is a photos section where pictures can be posted and the files section is suitable for text documents, pictures or video. There is a links section and a facility for conducting polls. When joining you can decide whether you would prefer to receive copies of each individual post or receive a daily digest. Alternatively you can select "no mail" and read the posts on the group message board. Please keep on topic and remember this is a family community group.

Weston Longville Flower Festival
The church is certainly worth a visit at the moment, as it is beautifully decorated with flowers. A few pictures are in the Weston Longville photo album. Dave.

Yes, an intriguing mystery. This was brought to my attention a year or so ago by Martin Brayne of the Parson Woodforde Society. Family legend paints Heighes as

Just to throw a spanner into the works, it seems unlikely that Heighes Woodforde was the father of the three youngest children of his marriage - James, Ralph
