The Wolf Hearth of Melbourne is an Australian based group for anyone interested in the native spirituality and folk-practices of their Northern European ancestors. The international revival of indigenous Northern European traditions has given rise to several similar, often inter-related, movements including Odinism, Wodenism, Anglo Saxon Traditionalism, Celtic Traditionalism, Northern European/Germanic Heathenry and Asatru to name a few. Collectively these movements are referred to as 'Heathenry'. These have little or no relation to the 'new age' and 'eclectic' neo-pagan movements born of the mid 20th century (such as Gardnerian Wicca). The Wolf Hearth of Melbourne is proud to number among its members people who were involved at the very beginning of the Heathen movement in Australia. The Wolf Hearth and Friends Yahoo Group (WHAF) being the official webring of the Wolf Hearth of Melbourne is pleased to act as an open forum for all Victorian and Australian Heathens including non-members of the Wolf Hearth, and even some of our international friends. Any non-Heathen with a genuine interest their Northern European ancestry is warmly invited to to aply for membership so that they may join in the fellowship and learn.
