Crossroads of Magick
Rumpots, Crackpots, and Pooke-Mazed Halfwits
A Special Kind of Magick
Well, we may not have caught all the typos, but we recently launched THREE new
titles in
the Wizard Academies series. (We can still easily fix any typos we find, and
Chris and
Risseybug already found most of them). This brings us to a total of FIVE books
in the
project.
The long-awaited Wizard Academies III: Crossroads of Magick is the third in our
series of
short story anthologies. Dane, Chris, and Risseybug all contributed to this
effort. And we
welcome Susan Reynolds Smith to our list of anthology authors.
My own Rumpots, Crackpots, and Pooke-Mazed Halfwits has been out for a few weeks
now, and is the first book-length Wizard Academies entry. The sequel, Dinner
With the
Archmage is now in the works.
And congratulations to Chris Malloy for Wizard Academies: A Special Kind of
Talent, the
second (and his first) novel-length WA book. He also has a second book-length
manuscript ready to go and is working on a third !!!
I love Chris' description of the Wizard Academies team:
"We all live in the cyberspace equivalent of an artist's colony in Paris. We
take cybertrips to
Venice, where we have cyberparties and cyberdrink until dawn. We then wake up
with
headaches that feel exactly like dengue fever and remember why we keep writing
these
stories.
"And that is to entertain you!"

Too true ...
Thanks of course to everyone in the "Parisian artists colony" who helped write,
edit, and
proofread these books -- and so much more.
And a most very special thanks to our wonderful artist Lylith, who managed to
crank out
illustrations in spite of her father's illness. (He is doing better now at last
report).
You might want to wait a while before you order the new books to make sure we
have
caught any remaining errors -- but for those of you who can't wait, our Wizard
Academies

Congrats to all our authors and illustrator.
