Welcome. This group is for Wisconsin Survivalists (or Preppers if you prefer the newer term) and those looking to survive in or "Escape to Wisconsin" (remember that old 80s slogan?)

Use this group to discuss and debate with like minded folks the problems, issues, and hopefully some solutions to surviving in Wisconsin. Depending on the threat, our climate can either help or hurt us here. This state though, dating back to the history of the fur trapping trade, back to the 1600s, has had a pround history of tough "Badger" residents, and we can be the continuation of that if we work together to prepare now. We should also keep in mind we are the water link from the Great Lakes to the Mississippi and blessed with lakes and streams, outdone only by Alaska.

Wisconsin has many diverse areas with different strengths and shortfalls for survival. Pictured now - the old 1990 FEMA nuclear target map for Wisconsin. This is a good starting point for considering where it is best to be. Consider also river flooding, as we saw just a few years ago with Lake Delton.
