The Wilmington Homeschool Organization (WHO) has been organized for the purpose of providing a safe space amongst familiar faces and friends. We are comprised of home schooling families that are seeking and/or supporting a secular home schooling experience. Activities may represent a myriad of possibilities, including, but not limited to; play dates, field trips, home school gatherings, organized classes, etc. Gatherings and activities are primarily the product of member initiative. Members are encouraged, but not required, to organize social opportunities, cooperative learning situations and/or field trips of their choosing. Parents are expected to be present and to supervise their own children at outings unless they have specifically assigned the task to another adult. No child care or supervision is or will be provided. Liability waivers may be required to attend certain activities and/or events.

To become a member of Wilmington Homeschool Organization (WHO), a moderator must already know you (in person) or you must first attend an activity that takes place in a public venue. In order to be placed on an alternative stand-by list where public activities are announced, please contact WHO via Wilmington_Homeschool_Org@yahoo.com , sharing your first and last name, the age(s) of the child(ren) you are home schooling, the number of years you've been homeschooling (if you are new to the adventure, please let us know so we may offer further support and assistance!), a phone number where you may be reached (please include a convenient time to contact you), and a brief note expressing your interest in joining this group. Membership is restricted for the sole purpose of maintaining a better level of safety and privacy for families involved. It is not a reflection of race, religious preference (or lack thereof), gender, ethnicity, etc.
