May 12th, 2012 - La Conner Washington (Puget Sound area, near Seattle). Ten vintage Willards converged for one of the largest Rendezvous' in recent memory. And there were several other Willard owners who were unable to bring their boat with some traveling from Chicago and Southern California!

In the lead is a Willard Nomad from the early/mid 1970's. Off her starboard aft quarter is a Willard 40 sedan. In the 1970's Willard also sold hulls for owner-completion. In the distant right showing her port side is an early 1970's boat that was originally outfitted as a fishing vessel and later converted to an offshore passagemaking trawler by a knowledgeable owner. Also in attendence were 1960's era Willard 36's (the 5th boat back with the high bow being one of them).

For 'production' trawlers, Willard built 39 Willard 36's in the 1960's, about 150 Willard 30's starting in the 1970's, and a couple dozen Willard 40's along the way too. The 1980's brought significant upgrades to the W30 and W40 designs, which were again updated in the late 1990's. Willard ceased production of recreational trawlers in the early 2000's to focus on military contracts.
