Wilkes County Freecycle™ primarily serves Wilkes County. However, people or businesses, from other areas are more than welcome to join.

Wilkes County Freecycle™ is open to all individuals who want to "recycle" that special something rather than throw it away. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano or an old door. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! One constraint: everything must be free.

The goal of Wilkes County Freecycle™ is to reduce waste by connecting individuals who are throwing away goods with others who are seeking them. Whether you're looking to discard or acquire an item, Wilkes County Freecycle is the way to do it. Furniture, clothing, appliances, computers, old windows, and all the little things in between.

Although common sense tells us that animals are not disposable items, we do realize that there are situations where someone seeks to give away an animal that may otherwise end up in a pound and face possible euthanization. We encourage those that wish to give an animal away to investigate local Animal Rescue Organizations that may be able to offer assistance. If you do use WCF to find a home for an animal, keep it legal & be lovingly careful.

Freecycle members are a tireless group of optimists who believe they can change the world one gift at a time.
