I perfectly understand about the eating of the email thing. Once aol decided not to give me my mail for a week. I was very puzzled about having no mail until I figured out what was happening. Silly ISP's. I love saying good things about Wild Swans, and telling other people about it, because it's a wonderful book. It has made me think about a lot of things, especially recently. I just started becoming interested in that subject area as from an educational standpoint, rather than entertainment, so I've been reading a lot about AIDS and the start of the epidemic. I can certainly give you credit for doing your research ::grin:: because everything in there's been proven accurate. I actually have a lot more I'd like to say, but I have a concert in about twenty minutes, so I'm going to have to write again later.

Thanks for your note, Corinne--and I'm sorry I didn't back to you
before this. I didn't see your note until tonight! Apparently, my
Internet service provider has been randomly eating my e-mail messages,
and I didn't realize that you had posted to the Wild Swans group.
It's certainly a great compliment to learn that I managed to rob you
of a night of sleep. (Actually, a lot of people have told me that
about this book.) I also like that you find that the book has made
you re-think some things--I hoped that it would do that. Thank you
most of all for recommending the book to others. Good word of mouth
is the best help you can give to a writer, and I'm very grateful for it.
Best,
Peg
