Wild River Home Educators is an informal social group of homeschoolers from all walks of life who regularly come together in an open-minded and accepting environment. We provide parents the opportunity to exchange ideas about curriculum, family dynamics, and teaching while children make friends, enjoy field trips and learn together.
Our members come from several communities located along the St. Croix River in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Due to its central location, the group meets in Osceola, Wisconsin. Social opportunities for both children and parents are offered on the second and fourth Fridays of every month. We also gather for monthly field trips, regular parent outings, resource sharing and service projects. Anyone new to homeschooling, considering homeschooling, or just looking for homeschooling friends is welcome. We ask anyone considering joining Wild River Home Educators to attend two public activities before deciding to join the group. Children in the group currently range in age between newborn and 13 years-old.
For more information, call or e-mail Kate at 715- 706-1060 (dkbergeron@charter.net) or Zrinka at 651- 433-5918 (peters.zrinka@gmail.com.)
After you have contacted one of the people listed above and have attended two Wild River group events, you will be invited onto the Yahoo forum so that you can fully participate as a member.
