I was there to break my own Guinness World Record to publicize the launch of a
new Indiana Jones video game, "Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings." While I
did not beat my own record of 254 cracks in one minute this time, I did succeed
in helping with publicity, as the popularity of the video shows.

I also got to meet members of the English whip-cracking community, and we had a
fine time cracking it up with each other, courtesy of Major Horton, including an
evening of playing with Fire Whips. I took photos of my trip, and if you'd like

And yes, the arthroscopic surgery on my right shoulder last Thursday appears to
have gone well, and now it is a matter of therapy and recuperation. And no, it
was not a repetitive motion injury from whip cracking. The doctors even said
whip use probably delayed the onset of the adhesive capsulitis that impinged my
right shoulder.

And, as some of you know, I saw my mother in Blackpoool for the first time in
years. It was a terrific reunion. (It turns out we actually like each other -
and she has even read my book!)
