Western Chat is a conversational group for freedom loving and liberty-oriented people moving to the western states of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, and willing to work within the political system to reduce the size and scope of government. It is desirable that a consensus state be selected; however, if a single consensus state is not chosen, a triad region of liberty will be generated. The success of the Western movement will entail reductions in oppressive taxation and regulation, reforms in state and local law, an end to federal mandates, and a restoration of constitutional federalism, demonstrating the benefits of liberty to the rest of the nation and the world.

This group is not associated with or competing against any other projects. It was created for those who genuinely want to experience liberty in their lifetime and know the western United States is the most logical place in which a project like this has a valid chance at success. If you feel that the West is not the best place for such a project this is not the group for you.
