EMAIL POLICY: The list is currently unmoderated, and a specific email policy is still evolving. With that in mind, the following is our proposed WestOrangeShuls email policy:


The following are examples of emails that would ALWAYS BE APPROPRIATE: (i) community events; (ii) shul events of interest to members and nonmembers; (iii) shiva notices; (iv) community blood drives; etc.


The following are examples of emails that would GENERALLY BE APPROPRIATE: (i) houses for sale in the West Orange/Livingston area; (ii) garage sales; (iii) lost and found;(iv) parlor meeting at your house; etc.

The following are examples of emails that would NEVER BE APPROPRIATE FOR ANY LIST: (i) jokes; (ii) auctions; (iii) offensive or disparaging emails; and (iv) Lashon Hara (v) internal shul matters (vi) views,opinions and news items.

Short targeted letter-writing campaigns for Israel (to keep short please use hyperlinks)are permitted.

Please sign your name in all emails.
Please check the accuracy and limit the size of articles sent. If the article is lengthy, please provide a synopsis and the link.
