This group was formed to facillitate discussion of crime prevention and safety in the Wellington Community in Manassas, VA.

WELLINGTON NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH is a group of Wellington residents in Manassas, VA working with authorities in City of Manassas and Prince William County to:

~ Educate homeowners about who to call for problems, how to stay safe

~ Recognize and report suspicious activities in our neighborhood

~ Bring more awareness and communication of Neighborhood Watch

~ Be an active part of making our neighborhood a safe & pleasant place to live

Neighborhood Watch is one of the oldest and most effective crime prevention programs in the country, bringing citizens together with law enforcement to deter crime and make communities safer. Neighborhood Watch counts on citizens to organize themselves and work with law enforcement to keep a trained eye and ear on their communities. Neighborhood Watch works because it reduces opportunities for crime to occur; it doesn’t rely on altering or changing the criminal’s behavior or motivation.
