Finally, here's a group for those who want to give their children a classical, secular education at home. While Jessie Wise and Susan Wise Bauer's The Well-Trained Mind is the book I've used to get started with classical education, the group is certainly open for discussion using other sources and resources.
Let's talk about our "tricks of the trade," our children's favorite books (and ours), and general homeschooling tips.
Please respect each others' opinions. No flaming and, please, no religious or political discussions/debates.
We will allow FOR SALE/WTB posts on the 5th of each month. FOR SALE/WTB posts should include FOR SALE, FS, or WTB in the subject line. Sale/WTB posts placed anytime other than the 5th of the month will be removed by the moderator. Buying and selling is done at your own risk. NO DEALERS! Advertising is not allowed!
Contacting members offlist to promote products (without being asked by that member) or to harass another member is not acceptable. If reported, you will be banned from this group.
IF YOU POST ANY SPAM OR LINKS THAT ARE INAPPROPRIATE YOU WILL BE BANNED AND REPORTED TO YAHOO. Membership is by approval.
For those interested in an informal seminar in logic for parents which has grown out of this group, please see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TWTM_secular/
