In your journal:

Write down one thing that you could change that would improve many areas of your life.  Something where just by making this one change many other areas in your life will be helped as well.  Then write down something that even just starting and working on it will make improvements in your life.  Something where you do not have to wait until it’s complete instead as soon as you start you will begin to get results.

In your journal:

Make a list of the ways you can best use what you already have to reach some of your goals.  Try to let go of what you think you need to get started and focus on how to use what’s already in your life.  What tools or resources do you already have?  What inspiration or motivation is already in place?  In what ways can you put what you already have to good use in attaining your goals?

In your journal:

Write down all the areas in your life you feel a need to be perfect.  What do you feel will happen if you are not perfect in this area?  Do you tend to expect others to be perfect in these areas as well?  If they are not perfect in these areas what happens?  If someone succeeds in being perfect in these areas then what?

Look for things that you have in common with each person you meet this week and make a list of the things you found you had in common.  Star the items on your list that you found in common with the people you felt it would be unlikely to find anything.

Think of the warning signs that came before some of the problems you’ve dealt with in the past.  How much easier might it have been to solve these problems at these early stages?  What warning signs are you seeing now of possible future problems?  What can you do now to stop a problem from developing?

Make three lists.  First write down what you need to survive.  Then make a list of what you need to be comfortable.  Finally make a list of what you need to be happy.  How different are each of these lists?  How is the focus of the list you made of what you need to be happy different from the other two lists?

Do you tend to live in the past, present, or future?  Notice your thoughts during the day.  Are you usually focused on the present moment?  Do you find yourself mostly reminiscing or thinking about the past?  Are you constantly planning for the future?  Where are the majority of your thoughts focused?  How might you find some balance?  Write down some ways you can let go of or build on the past, enjoy the present, and still take action to improve the future?

In your journal:

In what areas do you tend to try and do everything at once?  How can you break up the job(s) into manageable parts?  What is priority for you and what can be put on the back burner?  Is there something you can let someone else take care of and lighten your load?
