The purpose of this group is to talk about weaving.What we're weaving or thinking of weaving.How different fibers work in our projects. What has worked for you or not worked.

New members must be approved before being allowed to post and may be moderated for the first few posts. For approval to the list please tell us a bit about the looms you use or hope to learn to use. While we have some professional weavers and teachers on the list this is not a list that those in the weaving factories would find of interest it is mainly a list of hobby weavers.

If you join this list you are expected to take care of your own e-mail settings and while I will be glad to help if you are confused about how to set them I will not do them for you.This list generates large columes of mail each day so most members find it easier to go on digest.

At times we may wander a bit off topic but it is important that members remember this is a weaving list so please no fussing about topics or flaming of members. While we understand that new memebrs may not know exactly how to start a project a online list should never take the place of good old fashion research done by yourself. Please don't come to the list thinking the list owes it to you to give you written instructions on how to create a project. We will help if you have a question.

Please feel free to give advice. Even newbies to weaving have good ideas. Remember that that many of us are new to weaving and may not always be right in our answers. Maybe you have a way to do something that works better then what any of us have been doing.If you have question please feel free to ask but also check out the archives as most newbie questions have been asked many times before. The majority of us have only been weaving a few years or less so we're always learning or remember what it was like to just be starting weaving and have questions.
