After two years of production, Renegade Art Productions is proud to present the
home town premiere of our first feature film:
"GIRL NUMBER THREE"
The film stars many local actors including Julie Streble, Jason Crowe, Denny
Grinar, Todd Ziegler, Leah Michelle Roberts, Herschel Zahnd III and more.
Featuring a score by local musicians Scott Anthony and Jon Ryan, and songs by
Louisville natives "Never The Man" and Natalie Nicole Gilbert.
Filmed entirely in Louisville and Southern Indiana "Girl Number Three" tells the
story of a young girl who is kidnapped on Halloween night by a group of masked
men. She is taken to warehouse in a secluded part of town, forced to be part of
a strange ritual. The tables turn on the masked men, as the girl is freed and
takes revenge on the men for their crimes.
Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Louisville artist Nathan Thomas
Milliner, GIRL NUMBER THREE is a ride you won't soon forget. Come see the film
Horrorhound Magazine called "Smart... and ... Refreshing"
Also join the cast and crew afterward as we celebrate the DVD release of the

Cuckoo’s Nest,
based on a
best-selling novel by Ken Kesey, was originally produced in New York in the
1960s with Kirk Douglas. The 2001 revival starring Gary Sinise won the Outer
Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Revival.
Set in a mental asylum, the
play deals with the effect of a charming rogue, R. P. McMurphy (who
has feigned lunacy in order to escape a prison sentence), on the other
inmates. McMurphy finds that his ward is run with an iron fist by the
domineering Nurse Ratched. He quickly flexes his individualist muscle,
making a name for himself and causing trouble for the staff. He attempts
to breathe life, masculinity, and individuality back into the submissive and
emasculated patients, with results that are both hopeful and horrifying.

Le Petomane Theatre
Ensemble proudly announces its latest original comic piece, The Invisible Space Castle of Despair, #14
in the beloved (and entirely non-copyright-infringing) U-Pick-‘Em
Series! In
a world of intergalactic darkness, you are surrounded by choices shrouded in
mystery.Journey
to the darkside of the moon to discover the Invisible Space Castle of Despair
and that which lurks within. Will you face a space vampire? Perhaps several
killer robots - and maybe a lazy one? Choose fight or flight, song or dance,
danger or…despair.
Le Petomane, variously
called:
"immensely enjoyable .
. .one of Louisville’s
prized little treasures. Believe it. ” (LEO),
“Louisville’s finest alternative theater
company” (Velocity),
"fine, fast and
funny...ensemble comedy of the first order" (Courier-Journal),
said to “radiate . .
. sheer brilliance” (TheatreLouisville.org),
and named as one of the top
five theatrical experiences of 2007 by Baltimore’s
CityPaper;
has done stranger things, frankly. But not
by much. Those with a philosophical bent are encouraged to discuss the warring
concepts of duality and continuum. Those without are encouraged to giggle at
the silly vampire accent. Most people will fall somewhere in between.
The Invisible Space Castle
of Despair opens October 16 and continues on October 17, 23, 24, 30 and
31. All performances are at 7:30 pm at the
legendary Rudyard Kipling (422

about which more below. It looks like something you, the Le Petomane audience,

If you are not able to attend, we
welcome your participation as a scholarship sponsor. Your donation will
allow us to include at-risk middle and high school students and educators
that partner with us at community centers and local schools. This evening
will inspire and educate. It reinforces the value of the arts education
for literacy building and creative problem solving. Sadly only 8 cents of
every foundation dollar for the arts nationwide is for youth arts
education (Foundation Center 2004). Yet studies show that students with
an arts-rich education outperform by every measure those without this
curriculum. Thank You! YOU
DON'T WANT YOUR FRIENDS TO MISS OUT...FORWARD ON!!
Just got off the phone with Ken Daniels, the producer of the Fright Night Film Fest (FNFF). If you are a filmmaker, or an actor, or want to be either, you need to be at FNFF next weekend.
Ken has not only lined up a killer bunch of shorts and feature films, but he's added a 7 day film contest in any genre (in progress now). On top of that, he has a roster of celebrities that should please just about any horror fan.
But that's not why you should be there.
You should go because he's added some seminars that will help you, as a filmmaker, and get better at your craft. Seminars on how to make your first feature film. Seminars on the RED and Panasonic GH1 cameras. Seminars on Acting. This is hard-earned information from people with years of experience.
Plus you get to hear me give a new lecture, called 90-Minute Film School. Will you learn everything ? Nope. Will you stuff you should know? Definitely. Hope to see you there!

About the show:
A touching, funny and warm study of a spirited and lovable elderly couple facing
their twilight years. Ethel and Norman Thayer are returning to their summer home
on Golden Pond for the 48th year. Their divorced daughter and her dentist
fiancée leave his teenage son with them for the summer. He quickly becomes the
"grandchild" they have longed for and Norman revels in taking him fishing,
thrusting good books at him and learns some lessons about modern teen life, and
slang, in return. As summer wanes, so does their brief idyll, and the final,
deeply moving moments of the play, they are brought even closer together. Time,
they know is against them, but the years have been good to them, and perhaps,
yet another summer on Golden Pond awaits.
