Dear Stephen,

A few minutes ago i responded to a personal post from you. So if this catches you off-balance.....forgive me.

I was scheduled to work 7p-7a tonight but was called to stay at home. Hospital census being down. Strange

for a weekend, but things happen in this world. So i got dressed and decided to watch some TV. Something

i do not due a lot of. As i cruised the satellite waves i looked for the "old movies". Stuff where some of what

was important as i grew up was played out on the "silver screen".

 

Funny thing....today is not "veterans day"....but i jumped into the last 40 minutes of the classic BATTLEGROUND.

And i had to laugh. Everytime i have had something beginning to "roll" in THE SPIRIT this movie was around.

 

here is the scene....it is Christmas Morning and the 101st Airborne is trapped in BASTOGNE. They are out of food,

medicine, ammunition. The general refused to surrender and the German's promised utter destruction. The fact that

it had been proved that German troops were murdering POW'S and massacred a field hospital maybe influenced his

decision. So all the "holy joes" were doing Christmas services. In this scene a Lutheran chaplain from Ohio was addressing

troops in the field. And he asked them the "$64" question...."WAS THIS TRIP NECESSARY".

 

I have seen this scene dozens of times....but this time i was thinking of the posts on the WPA Stephen. I thought

about the question so many like Judy have asked....is this "stuff" for real? I also thought of David's questions and

comments. Are the sources "legit".....Should we oppose the coming NWO....or whatever?

 

And i got to thinking....about what that actor said in the movie. Were his words "hollywood hype"? That is what we would

expect today...right?

 

But BATTLEGROUND was not made  today. It was made in 1947, i believe. And many of the actors were combat

veterans. the director William Wellman....was. and all the "extras'' in the movie were active members of the 101st airborne.

much of the film was actual combat film from THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE.

 

so i kept thinking as the movie came to an end....and i saw the next movie to be played..."THEY WERE EXPENDABLE".

and i had that real cold chill go down my spine. so i looked up the next movie...."THE GUNS OF NAVARONE''....

and the next...."HELL IS FOR HEROES"....now don't get your religiosity raised out of kilter,,,,this movie goes back to the 50's and was a fairly good flick. Right now they are playing "A BRIDGE TOO FAR". after that will be a movie called

"CRY HAVOC"....what's funny is i do not remember any movie with that title.

 

But i do remember Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR....and Mark Anthony's speech which ends with...

"CRY HAVOC....and let loose THE DOGS OF WAR"....

 

So Stephen, i wonder what this all means....

and the History Channel is playing a special on the 101st airborne.

i guess most of the WPA do not know that the 101st wear a patch of a bald EAGLE on their shoulder....and called

themselves THE SCREAMING EAGLES".

looking at the TV guide i found that HBO has a miniseries based on a platoon of the 101st called A BAND OF
BROTHERS" that begins tonight.....

 

is this just coincidence? or is it GOD?

 

Sister Hollie....i understand your being uncomfortable with guns. i am too, when they are being carried by thugs, robbers,

and evil people in general.  but that is always a problem with people who worship the gods of force(s). Daniel said the "LITTLE HORN"...the prince of the people that destroyed JERUSALEM will worship "firepower".

 

Want to disagree with my interpretation of that verse? i do not care....except Daniel is very explicit about THE LITTLE HORN...and the issue that he makes war against the SAINTS.

 

but those are just words...from the OLD testament....and we got so many nice words in the NEW TESTAMENT

that tell us to be passive and compliant...obedient to government officials. now there were many who voiced those

sentiments in 1773, 1774,1775, 1776, etc etc....did not change the course of history.

 

today the SAINTS in about 75% of the world are going through various levels of persecution. death and imprisonment

is a reality to most. but what surprises me is AMERICAN CHRISTIANS....when arrested in ISLAMIC countries expect

to be bailed out by either the prayers of the saints....or the STATE DEPARTMENT. for 1800plus years the church

never had government protection when doing the great commission thing. ..............

 

so why do people call on government....

especially government that might not be sympathetic to criminals....as the TALABAN thinks of them.

 

ISLAM calls america the great satan....and expects americans to come in and disrupt their nation. we call it "evangelization".

they call it "causa belli"....an  attack on their beliefs.

 

sort of how the PHARISEES and SADDUCEES and HERODIANS viewed first JOHN...later Y'SHUA....and all

that followed. 

 

There is a FLOW in all this...if you can get away from the crosscurrents and the sandbars.

 

Samson wanted to "marry" a philistine babe....as  "provocation"....i guess he provoked himself....

David did something similar after a fasion.... 

6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

 

Stephen, there is something special there. David "encouraged" himself in THE LORD...his GOD.

Samson wanted his "heifer"...his "whore" and his vengeance for his eyes.

Sort of weird ain't it. David sought the LORD. Samson sought his own things for his own reasons.

 

Old Samson had it all...and GOD used him mightily for a long time. But no one i know will name their son Samson.

David, like Samson, was used mightily....and like Samson had a problem with sin.

But David repented. HARD....several times.

 

GOD SPOKE TO DAVID....and David listened and obeyed.

GOD may have spoke to Samson....but our records only say....

25 And the spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

Samson was used....but there was no relationship there. GOD used the carrot and stick approach with Samson.

Sammy sees babe....juices flow...Philistines got killed and war went on. GOD told David to kill Philistines. Sammy

just did it for personal reasons.

Just does not feel the same as David...

8 And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them?

And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

now i can play this stupid and ask....who "HE" that answered DAVID? we all know....or do WE?

David talked to GOD who was his ALL IN ALL....

who knows how Samson thought of GOD....for all 4 chapters....

 

Stephen we are in THE WILDERNESS....are we at Ziklag?

Everything in me is saying this is my answer to what is happening to me.

How about the WPA?

I have no clue....but we are all in the same boat, to some degree. The global economy which is falling everywhere, and it will take a toll on all in North America....solid christian....lukewarm christian....sincere pagan....or pagans just for the fun of it. No one is going to be "exempt" for good behavior. But some have been warned.

Actually all have been warned.

The New Age Psychics and Prophets warned of "global" changes years ago. And not everyone that made preparations for Y2K were christians. Lots of cults are out there expecting the end of the world with every weird thing that happens. there are a lot of "survivalists", "patriots", "libertarians".....and some just plain wacko's and paranoid types out there.

GOD moved Samson around....HE can do the same for any and all of the above.

I know people who hate christianity...and tell me "angels" talk to them and direct them. Do i ignore them....remember...2 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah.  I discount no one completely just because they might be a little weirder than me....actually....if i find someone really weirder than me i might....but so far no one comes close.  Some try hard....but i have walked too deeply into Gehenna to be shocked or miffed.

Y'SHUA gave us a template of the end times in Matt 24....but HE gave us numerous sequences in the imagery throughout all of scripture. Many speak of THE RESTORATION OF THE TABERNACLE....of TRUE DAVIDIC PRIESTHOOD....and they are right......but they sort of forgot their scripture....

What PRECEDES all this nice, wonderful, upbeat stuff....this is why i get bothered by many "brethren". Now there are many who never see beyond THE FAMINE and THE JUDGMENT. That too bothers me.

This children are the words of the Prophet AMOS....so are these....

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

Y'SHUA quoted Amos.....HE DID NOT CHANGE THE WORDS OR THE SEQUENCE.

ABBA is telling me to finish this up...and to share another one of HIS SERVANTS....my buddy NAHUM...

2 God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

As bad as judgment gets....THE TRUTH DOES NOT CHANGE..........THE LORD IS GOOD......   AND HE KNOWS WHO PUT THERE TRUST IN HIM....

i am a coward...a sinner...a tired and weary man....my ONLY hope is in MY GOD. even in Ziklag, Adullam, or america.
