The first summer band concert of the season by the Bloomingdale Cornet Band at the Butler Park is Thursday, July 9, starting 8 pm.  For those not familiar, this is a century old tradtion.  Butler Park is located at 1 Park Place, Butler, between Main Street and Kiel Avenue / Boonton Avenue / High Street in front of the police station in the old borough hall.

 

     Bloomingdale Cornet Band was organized on Decoration Day, May 30, 1884 so now is celebrating its 125th anniversary.  It is the oldest such band in the state.   The membership comes from a number of our area towns.   http://www.bloomingdalecornetband.org/
