Waldorf in the Piedmont is a group of Waldorf-inspired homeschooling families who live in the Piedmont areas near the North and South Carolina state line. We are a secular group with various spiritual beliefs sharing a common interest in the value of imaginative play, handwork, storytelling, music, song, dance and celebrating the seasons. Since their are few Waldorf-inspired families in the area, the goal of this site is to assist families in forming a network for play, support and learning opportunities with a desire for developing long-lasting friendships.

Some of the counties represented by our members include Mecklenburg, Gaston, Cleveland, Spartanburg, Cherokee, York, Polk and Rutherford.
