The mission of Women in Public International Affairs (WPIA), at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs:
*Promote full social, political, legal, and economic equality for women
*Advocate for women and women’s concerns within and outside of the SIPA community
*Stimulate interest in the needs of women and foster wider opportunities for women in the fields of public and international affairs
*Create an active network of women professionals in these fields
*Educate SIPA and the greater Columbia University community about policy and management issues that affect women in domestic and international contexts
*Foster the development of members’ leadership skills
