Welcome to WOW Women of the Word!

The purpose of WOW is to provide a place online where women can come for encouragement, prayer, Bible study and fellowship with other Christian Women.
Through things God was showing me at my home Church as I helped with planning a Women’s Ministry I saw a need that could be met for women and felt God leading me to make that change here online.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.(NIV)

My prayer is to see women hunger and thirst for God until their cups are overflowing and in turn they will use that overflow to reach other women in their lives.

This group was originally created on Sept 2007 as Women Bible study; the primary purpose of the group was providing a source of online Bible study for women. In Aug of 2008 the name changed to WOW_Women_of_the_Word.
