The name WISH is an acronym for..."Working to Inspire Students at Home." WISH is a national homeschool support network, on a mission to make the at-home educational experience a successful reality. It is the endeavor of WISH to provide the most up-to-date information and resources available. WISH's broader support includes all families who understand how critically important it is that the educational process begin in the home.

Over the past 5 years, WISH members have shared proven techniques to help the homeschooled child become more balanced and socially developed, while maintaining excellence in academic achievement. Now, WISH Homeschool Foundation's new direction, provides much needed support for all families, regardless to whether or not the child is traditionally publicly schooled, privately schooled or educated in a non-traditional at-home school setting.

WISH focuses on the needs of a wide variety of home and family compositions, to include, but not limited to, traditional nuclear families, foster and adoptive families, families with special needs children, single parent families and mixed-race families.

Additionally, we believe that many brilliant American children of African ancestry are indeed an unrecognized group among the "Educational Achievers" society. A chief goal of WISH is to make African American children, and all children of color feel just as deserving of superiority in education as anyone else.

Whereas, WISH membership is open to all people...of all races, genders, religious views and all traditional schooling or homeschooling methodologies...WISH Homeschool Foundation subscribes to and supports a fundamental Christian Belief.
