Description

After many frustrating years of my WHEELER family being swamped by my US cousins - and hearing the laments of other WHEELER researchers looking for our UK roots, I decided to give us a home of our own! This group focuses on the WHEELER surname from the UK, and their immigration world-wide.

The portrait to the left is my great grandmother, Elizabeth (Bessie) Wheeler, born in Short Street, near Dilton Marsh, Wilts, UK about 1830. My research on her grew into a successful hunt for more Wheelers. She's the reason I'm here... in more ways than one! Happy hunting for YOUR ancestors.
