WHCschools list provides different schools of haiku literature for those who wish to learn the genre along specific lines such as traditional Japanese haiku school (yuki-teikei), traditional Western haiku, Shintai school (new-style), or vers libre. Guest instructors are invited to take charge a particular school in addition to the WHC "teachers". How to enrol or to proceed with the teaching is left to the discretion of instructors, who are regarded as "ichijitsu-no-cho" (one who knows only a day's knowledge better), or primus inter pares. Members can be pupils of these schools or simply observers. Workshops and seminars are also organised from time to time. In future, more formal courses may be introduced with some kind of certificates or diplomas on offer. I hope you will join us to develop this new facility.
To join, follow Yahoo's subscription request procedure. Then, you will receive an automated application form which should be filled in and returned. If you are already a member of another WHC mailing list, please include in your letter of request to me a copy of your completed application form for the original mailing list for each group to which you subscribe. Thank you.
With very best wishes,
Susumu Takiguchi
