Come discuss home and unschooling with us. We discuss the ins and outs, the joys, the heartaches, the doubts, the triumphs, the fun and the frenzy of educating your own children.

There is a continuum of homeschooling from sitting down and doing school at a set time everyday to just doing what your child wants and never making any schedule, from using all textbooks and workbooks to never letting a single one in your house or near your child. The point of homeschooling is following your child's lead and responding to your child's needs. That is what this group is designed to discuss. We are here to discuss every and any aspect of homeschooling from "school at home" to natural learning.

Heated debates are good (many of us enjoy them). Liberal and open discussion is good. All I ask is that we all respect each other's opinions and our right to have them. Intention is not always clear in email. If you are unsure of a person's meaning; ask them, either on the list or privately. If you have a problem with a post, you have a few options: 1) take it up with the person (onlist or off); 2) take it up with the moderator (offlist please) or 3) use your delete key (that's my favorite, smile). There are plenty of people "out there" who will beat us up for our childrearing choices, we definitely don't need that from each other.
