Part 2 of Basic Spotter Training will be offered on the Central Carolina
SKYWARN Information Net on Tuesday, April 28, at 9:15 PM on the 146.88
repeater. (Part 1 of Basic Training was offered on April 21.) Folks who
complete both parts will receive a certificate.
The instructor will be Jeff Orrock, KI4KKX, Warning Coordination
Meteorologist with the Raleigh National Weather Service.
To fully benefit from this training and to receive a spotter certificate
participants must:
A. have PowerPoint or a PowerPoint viewer,
B. listen and check in at the end of both nets - Parts 1 & 2, and
C. email CCS Emergency Coordinator Virginia Enzor at nc4va@....
with name, call sign, current mailing address and phone number.
Scanner listeners may participate by emailing Virginia Enzor immediately
at the close of each training session.

The National Weather Service recommends that spotters refresh their
spotter training at least once every 3 years.
All spotters are invited to a a SKYWARN Spotter Dinner at 6:30pm on
Thursday, May 14, at the Golden Corral Restaurant on 6129 Glenwood
Avenue in Raleigh. A program will follow the dinner at 7pm on "Radar
Training" with Warning Coordination Meteorologist Jeff Orrock KI4KKX.
