"The ArtistsJournals list serves as a discussion, resource, idea-sharing community for artists who utilize journaling -- visual or written -- as part of their creative process. This allows for discussion of a variety of medium and ideas. Off topic posting is requested to be kept minimal. The journals can be any form -- idea zones, sketchbooks, formal explorations, text entries, list keeping... Hopefully, there will be the sharing and exchange of journal pages/entries."

We discuss the techniques and materials related to keeping artists' journals. "Journals" mean our personal records of the creative process--and sometimes our life stories--in a diary or sketchbook-type format.

This is a very specific format. It is different from our paintings, sculptures, quilts, ATCs/ACEOs, shrines, etc., except as they are planned or documented in our journals.

Basic WAJ2 rules:
- All members must be active. No lurking after the first couple of weeks.
- No "No Mail" members. Choose at least "Special notices" if you join.
- No commercial posts without prior approval by a moderator.
- And... Ask questions! Share ideas! Be creative! Have fun!
