Ketchikan on Straight Floats   Message List

Making my first Alaska Trip next week and am planning on making our first stop in Ketchikan and then go from there pretty much just hanging around Southeast AK. 
 
Is it better to do Customs at the Airport or Ketchikan Harbor?
 
Also any recommendations on Floatplane friendly hotels, motels or the best place to park for a day or two while we find some fly out cabins and get our grub together.

I have never had a problem clearing customs at the harbor. I always go right to a cabin on the first night, so I can't help you with a hotel. Watch out for...
