Central Idea of the Group
Integration of Vipassana Meditation with school/college education
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The idea is aimed to provide character building, mind
mastering, and mind purifying moral education along with the usual
literacy/technical education. The idea is to help a student/person
become a happy, creative, noble, peaceful and more productive
citizen.

This idea can help in making a good difference in life of
all individuals - both Children and Adults.

The idea is essentially to encourage Vipassana Meditation to
adults and Anapana Meditation (first step of Vipassana) to
children/students.

The technique of Vipassana is a simple, practical way to
achieve real peace of mind and to lead a happy, useful life.
Vipassana means "to see things as they really are"; it is a
logical process of mental purification through self-observation.

The technique of Anapana is a simple and practical way to
achieve mastery over the mind and lead a happy, wholesome life.
Anapana means observation of natural, normal respiration, as
it comes in and as it goes out.

Essentially the idea is
1) Encourage Vipassana Meditation to College students (and
to other citizens too).
2) Encourage Anapana Meditation to School students and to
any children above 8 years age

This idea can help each "individual" to be happy, peaceful
and productive, and in this way, help the entire nation to become
better.

Experience of Thousands of Vipassana Meditators, and many
research papers on Vipassana/Anapana also confirm the immense and
instant benefits of these meditation techniques.

Particularly there is immense potential in Anapana
Meditation for children, when integrated with education. Similarly,
there is immense potential if college students and the
youth of the Nation starts practicing Vipassana Meditation

Spending 15-20 minutes a day for this meditation,
children/students can really achieve very good benefits. It helps in
making the mind very concentrated, happy, and creative. It also
does away the impurities of the mind like stress, anger, fear, etc.
It helps the student improve his/her self-confidence and performance
in studies/sports and imparts the right moral education at the right
age.

In this way, Anapana helps in making the child an ideal
citizen of the nation. If we could integrate child education with
Anapana, the future citizens of the nation are going to be
noble persons. If we can maintain and enhance the purity of
children, Nation will surely have a shining future. If Anapana could
be encouraged/taught to the school children, it would make a
big difference in the lives of individual children, and in the
future of the nation in a greater context.

Anapana is a non-sectarian meditation. The courses are
regularly and free of cost offered in various Vipassana Meditation
Centers all around the world. The courses can also be arranged in
schools (or in other Institutions like Orphan Homes, Homes for the
Blind, Juvenile Homes, etc.).
