A non-affiliated group of persons interested in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows their history, their purposes and interested in associating in a new chapterhouse lodge.

I am writing this from the former I.O.O.F. Pilgrim Lodge #47 located in the former I.O.O.F Temple in downtown Houghton Michigan.

Since purchasing this building I have grown more and more to upholding most of the I.O.O.F tradition and have done a great deal of research and have purchased a great deal of I.O.O.F. books, regalia, banners, memorabilia.

I would like to create a small historical display of the role the Odd Fellow's played in the History of Houghton.

My beliefs are slightly different than most Odd Fellow's Lodges, but I feel that working with a group of individuals we can indeed make a difference, and this effort is worth making.
