Welcome to my page ,here you can learn how to care for your vinyl records,
I run a record shop that a friend owns called "Needle to the Groove".
I have been collecting records for 30 years,I have learned many tips and techniques to maintain my records, and they are in great conditions,
i also DJ/and produce sample based music, so it is important for me to have great sounding records,
i only play records as i refuse to get in to the new technology as it is to complicated and confusing to understand,plus you can't compare the sound of vinyl to digital sound,they are totally different ,but that's another topic,my purpose is to help and teach people how to take care of there musical investments.this media is art in many ways,the album cover is an art in it's self,you can't see this art in a CD case,it's just not the same.
The vinyl ;the Black piece of wax you listen to,that has grooves and music,is another art form.the person who recorded it the"Engineer"he is an artist.there are not many left that do great recordings to vinyl any more,there are a handful of them and once they are gone who knows it may be the end of vinyl recordings as we know it.
The artist on the record,The Musicians,The Band,The Groups that record to vinyl.There are few good musicians that sound great on vinyl.
These are things that i grew up noticing about the difference's about records.i realy enjoy viewing and i miss that .
So much music is put out today in a fashion that's fast pace /and disposable WHAT A SHAME.
