Description
This group has as its purpose the sharing of information about vintage cloth dolls. We are interested in techniques, materials, supply sources, patterns, and other ideas related to vintage type cloth dolls. Our interests range from the techniques used by dollmakers of the 1800's to cloth doll makers of the early 1900's as well. We make our own cloth dolls, but like to study the work of other designers from the past and present.
We have just completed a group challenge to create a reproduction of a Presbyterian cloth doll. Our long-time member, Lucinda Durbin, created a reproduction of a Presbyterian doll. Our current homepage photo features a doll made for the challenge by a group member, Judi Ward.
