Take a trip back in time... when college wrestling was done on cotton mats, sometimes in roped-off rings... when the wrestlers didn't wear singlets, but wore trunks and tights, shirts optional (as seen here in this photo of an early 1930s Oklahoma State wrestling practice).

VintageAmateurWrestling is designed to be a tribute to the "good old days" of amateur wrestling -- and the all-time past greats -- with the focus on top college wrestlers and wrestling programs such as IOWA, IOWA STATE, OKLAHOMA, OKLAHOMA STATE and MORE!
