Obama is a fool to have a scheduled an Afghanistan Troop Withdrawn.

Sending 30,000 more American troops to Afghanistan with a withdrawn date is a joke.  The terrorists can move into Pakistan, build up their forces and stay there until Obama announces peace in Afghanistan.  Obama brings the American troops home in celebration and the terrorists return to Afghanistan.

(It's simple...     A schoolyard-bully will behave when there's someone in the yard or he or she fears.  The bully might even play nice.  Once the other person, who the bully fears, leaves the yard, the bully takes over again.)

Back in 1970, I lived in a Vietnamese peasant-farming village with about eight other Americans, under the U.S. Marine Corps’ Combined Action Program (CAP).  (It is something that I am extremely proud of).  Americans serving in Vietnam had many Vietnamese friends.  Living (24/7) in a village with about 2,000 families, I had my share.

Threat of combat was constant and actual combat was heavy.  There were a couple of times, when we only had four Americans living and serving in the village, due to causalities.  Personally, I was wounded 3 times.  Two wounds were only slight.  The third wound, I received my only Purple Heart.    Some buddies give me credit for saving the lives of three Marines.   I wasn’t a hero in Vietnam.  I just did my job like millions of other veterans did and our military does today.   (You can read some more detailed village experiences of mine at:  http://www.CapVeterans.com  )

After Vietnam and the Marines, I got a job working as a data processing control clerk for Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield in Manhattan.  (Yes, a health insurance company).  When I worked for them, the company had over 6.5 million subscribers.  It was one of the largest health insurance companies in the U.S.  When I left the company in 1989, due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), I was a project manager, responsible for the EBCBS’ subscriber data processing system.  I had a staff of about 17 data processing professionals, ranging in positions from computer programmer to project leader.  Based on the position I held, I dealt with all levels of management, both inside and outside the company.  I often worked with New York State insurance auditors and attorneys.

I wasn’t a dummy, but my nerves were shot to hell.  Accepting disability was hard, but I had no options.  I had a wife four children and a house to worry about.  A number of Veteran Administration (VA) hospitalizations followed.  Under the help of some dedicated and caring VA professionals, I was able to keep my family and house together.  Then in the mid 90s, things got too much for me.   Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield fired me, we lost the house and eventually a divorce followed.

Again with some great, caring Veterans Administration health care staff, I was able to keep it together as much as possible.  However, the divorce proceedings starting in September 2000 took a major toll on my family and me.  The problems were not related to stress from my former wife and her attorney.  The problems were all related to the law firm, Maynard & Truland that I hired to represent me.  The law firm knew of my PTSD from the very beginning and clearly tried to take advantage of the disability.

From the start, Maynard & Truland attorneys’ total lack of communication, lack of professionalism and gross negligence had me fall into default.  Immediately, their lawyer, Robert Correale started to openly overcharge, false charge, and attend a major court appearance unprepared.  With the added, unnecessary stress that the law firm of Maynard & Truland was placing me under, federal VA doctors recommended that I enter a VA hospital for 45 days.   However, with the custody of my two minor children at stake, I did not trust my law firm to hold my interests.  (And I was correct.)   During pre-court arbitration, I was forced to represent myself, as my own attorney, Robert Correale sat quietly (on the clock) next to me for three hours.   My former wife and her attorney agreed to all my offers.

However, my own law firm’s list of open ethic violations continued.  Their over-charging and false charging continued as well.  After they drained their accepted retainer, I refused to pay their additional charges.

A year and a half later, they took me to civil court to pay their $1,700 open bill and I counter sued for legal malpractice on the same Superior Court docket.  I supplied my evidence of the law firm’s own contact, invoices, court filed documents, court filed letters, statements, etc...

Due to the law firm’s tremendous influence, no lawyer agreed to represent me for less than $350 an hour up front.  I was forced to represent myself as PRO SE.

It was around this time that I reported the law firm Maynard & Truland (a second time) to the New Jersey Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics.   This New Jersey Supreme Court office has the responsibility of investigating all attorney ethics charges filed from within the State of New Jersey.  I first reported the law firm to this Supreme Court agency a year and a half before, when the firm first started its open ethic violations.  However, due to a lame excuse, the Office of Attorney Ethics was unable to act on my behalf.   My latest letters requesting an investigation of the law firm were addressed to New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey, his state attorney general as well as the state director of the attorney ethics office and their local county committee.

In mid-March 2003, the civil case in Superior Court went well, after I learned that the judge read my real evidence in detail.  The attorney, Robert Correale, who represented me during my own divorce proceeding, was now representing his law firm for the current open billing charges against me.  It didn’t take long before, Judge Ronald Graves threw out the law firm’s and Robert Correale’s charges of an open bill.  Immediately after, Judge Graves announced to the court that my legal malpractice counter charges warranted the Law Division of Superior Court for damages. 

Within a day or so, I learned that besides being a divorce lawyer for Maynard & Truland, Robert Correale was also the current Vice-Chairman of the New Jersey Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics.   He was the vice-chairman of the same Supreme Court office that was to investigate him and his law firm.   (There was no mention of a Conflict of Interest).  He carried tremendous influence within the two counties that his committee was responsible for.

I started writing letters of the Conflict of Interest and a possible Cover-Up to all levels of New Jersey State government and it has been downhill ever since.  The actual court transcript of Superior Court Judge Ronald Graves was lost within the Sussex County courthouse, before the court clerk could type it.  The ethics charges and civil charges were both thrown out for lack of evidence and lack of merit.

For the next four years, New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine and his state attorney general refused to answer my certified letters for the entire time he has been in office.  The Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics still insists that Robert Correale’s own ethics committee carry out any further investigations against him.

Although the federal Department of Justice (DOJ) is aware that New Jersey government officials and politicians refuse to answer my certified letters, the DOJ insists that this is a New Jersey issue and I must deal with New Jersey.

It’s been a total of nine (9) years now and the New Jersey State cover-up saga continues…
