This list is dedicated to exploring and sharing information about nineteenth century needle arts, especially knitting, crochet, and related needlework. This list will be a place for sharing Victorian patterns, learning to interpret the older instructions, discussion of historial needlework issue and other ways to help us improve, understand and enjoy 19th century fiber arts. This list will include traditional 19th century folk techniques (like in gansey knitting) as well as the more elite patterns found in the fashion magazines of the era.
