Dr. T. Colin Campbell Lecture in New York City—February 17 2010

Change Your Diet: Save Your Life
T. Colin Campbell PhD, author The China Study, contrasts the outcomes of
animal-based and plant-based food habits. He cuts through the haze of
misinformation to show how what we eat affects our susceptibility to cancer,
diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and how we age.

Dr. Campbell is in New York City this Wednesday, February 17th, through The
Learning Annex at 6:15 at The Tudor Hotel, 304 East 42nd Street. He is
disappointed at the enrollment so far—probably on account of interested people
not knowing about his class. Come if you can, and alert the masses on your
networks or invite some friends in NYC with a few phone calls. It is such a
great thing that he is in NYC; he should feel very welcomed. And, we would all
get to see each other! (Per message from Linda Long)

For information and to register:

Other opportunities to hear Dr Campbell, including a webinar, are listed on his
website:

YOU can help vegan families!

Philip and Susan Miller Madeley are in the final stages of completing an
important master's thesis in Vegan Live Food Nutrition with Gabriel Cousens M.D.
We will bring to light the health and needs of vegan children under the age of
five. We will provide a vegan recipe for nursing mothers and babies without
access to breast milk. The draft of recipe ingredients is at Thesis Proposals.

The next three weeks are vital so we will be available around the clock for
questions, parent phone interviews, vegan researchers' comments, and for offers
of assistance. Please: email us or phone 760 294 2406.

How can you bring this important humanitarian service to the world?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) If you are a Vegan parent with babies or children, complete a simple 5-10
minute survey with an optional 15 minute phone call follow-up. Core questions
are vegan live food status of parent and child; baby's weight/height at birth;
and baby's current weight/height. Go to the simple survey.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) If you are a Vegan Authority in alternative health and nutrition, schedule a
twenty minute recorded telephone interview (or write a brief response to a few
important simple questions.) Go to the simple survey.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3) If you know a vegan parent or vegan authority send contact info to email or
ask them to go to the simple survey or to call 760 294 2406.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mother's milk is our first choice for all babies, along with a foundational
vegan-plant-based diet for mother and baby. Our milk recipe will support
orphanages, adoptive parents, babies without mothers, and women who are unable
to nurse. The next three weeks are essential to the solid foundation for this
thesis.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Participants will have access to a PDF copy of the thesis to be published by
September 2010.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration, respectfully,
Susan and Philip Miller Madeley

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Money donations will go 100% to the project and for vegan family education. We
also love to have sponsor products to gift to parents who complete the survey.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Expert Survey so far sent to to John Robbins, Dr. T Colin Campbell, David Wolfe

Hello Members & Friends,

Many of you know our good friend - Terri Warm - volunteer for VSSJ and past
officer for several years.
It is with much sadness we announce that she passed away on Thursday evening.
Terri ate a Vegan diet, lived a green lifestyle, and did as much as she possibly
could to help animals. She enthusiastically shared knowledge about her diet to
anyone who would listen. Terri added another 11 years to her life by her
commitment to a Vegan diet.
Thank you Terri for that message and we will miss you!!

Sincerely,
Janet Erickson, President

We are all more or less familiar with Dr. T. Colin Campbell and his book "The
China Study", cowritten with his son. His son, Glenn, is now taking a most
interesting and important step to bring vegetarianism to the forefront of
mainstream America, which is something that I would think we would all subscribe
to. Take a read and act accordingly.........thanks.........Len

Subject: Launching a movement

Hello,

My name is Nelson Campbell and I am the son of Dr. T. Colin Campbell, a leading
science advocate of a plant-based diet and author of the best-selling book,
“The China Study.”

My father and I are launching an effort with like-minded friends and colleagues
that we hope expands into a mainstream movement. Our mission is to help people
everywhere take charge of their health through plant-based nutrition. We
believe the time is right for change. It seems there is a crisis wherever we
turn, often rooted in corporate and/or governmental corruption. Many people are
frustrated and angry, but for that reason, are also more open than ever to new
ideas.

To accomplish our long-term mission, we first need to establish a critical mass
of early support. And this is what brings us to you. As we considered how to
secure this support, we decided to reach out first to organizations like yours
â€" local and regional organizations across the U.S. and Canada that share our
mission.

We have launched a simple website at www.campbellcoalition.com, and hope you can
take some time to review this and to watch the short YouTube video. If this
looks like something your organization can get behind, we would love for you to
consider the following:

1) An email blast to let everyone connected with your organization informing
them of our effort and website at www.campbellcoalition.com, especially
encouraging them to watch and share with friends the YouTube video.

2) Links on your website to our blog and the video, along with a descriptive
banner. (We intend to blog regularly, including a blog from my father, and to
develop a newsletter and additional videos as we secure the resources to do so.)

3) Communicating our story to your audience in whatever other ways you can think
of.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this. If you want to discuss with me
further our plans and how you can help, please feel free to contact me. We are
starting from the grassroots and want to be as accessible as possible to people
like you.

Before closing, I would like to give you this link to our YouTube video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDAJKcuY9RQ.

I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Nelson Campbell
