VegMusicians is about making EVERY vegetarian a musician, about singing and musically performing "the vegetarian experience," about lifting every vegetarian voice and celebrating in the most joyful, exuberant ways the wondrous joys of being vegetarian.
Be prepared to share the best music you've been able to find which does this. But, in lieu of your finding the best music, how about SOME vegetarian-encouraging music?
We're all interested, too, in developing and collecting literature, music, art, and other resources for vegetarian families.
But in all our months, years, or decades, we've found precious little written BY vegetarians FOR vegetarians.
What do you think YOU can develop, collect, or inspire OTHERS to develop or collect?
So enough of grieving about lost loves and broken promises. If we can create, let's do so; if we cannot create that body of veg*an musical lore that's singable by the veg*ans we have in the world today, let's begin to collect what's already been created and sung over the decades and centuries before us.
Turn down the amp(s); raise the overall HISTORICAL volume by increasing the NUMBER of veg*an voices who are singing with each of us -- and making our music port-able as they carry it away to hum a different day, while traveling to and work, going through their workdays, or enduring a crisis. Let our work become their inspiration, and reach beyond any of us to ennoble and enable a broader vegetarian movement to become historically transformative. Sing about the smallest things, if you will -- however your day of turnips and tofu, soymilk and cinnamon, carrots and chocolate power our bodies and our hearts to become gratefully energetic about going forward as veg*ans.
