A place to keep in touch with and network with displaced pet Rescuers on Vancouver Island. This list is for any rescuers (including transporters/home visitors / volunteers) or those interested in helping Rescue on Vancouver Island. Posting homes available, dogs in rescue, dogs in the shelters near you, fundraising events, supplies needed, foster homes needed and transports needed. Members are required to fill out a form with some basic information, introducing themselves to the rest of the group. This list is private and therefore the questions on the form are mandatory in order to keep those who don't belong on this list off. (Like Puppy Millers!)Any discussions on this list are FORBIDDEN to be forwarded off list without the express permission of the author. Pictures can be uploaded in the Files section in the folders (feel free to add if one does not apply) The moderator will automatically add information from your questioner to our contact database. Members are asked to review their "Contact" information in the "Database" section and make any corrections/additions so your information can be located should another rescuer require help in your area. Feel free to contact any of the other members should you require assistance in their area of the Island. Please invite (you can do this from the main page)other rescuers or those interested in helping (Associations or individuals) that you know of on the Island. Outright "Bashing" of rescue groups, independants, SPCA or humane societies is not welcome, however, solutions, discussion and advice are. Let's try to work happily along with everyone involved in caring for the animals :)
