Thanks for the info on Goldfish, Charlotte. I'm glad I mentioned it, so

"goldfish" is a virus. My antivirus software scans all incoming messages,
and i've had Goldfish come in like a half dozen times already. i never
opened them instead i just deleted them, and moved on. i've scanned my
system twice, after updating my antiviruse definitions, and I don't have
goldfish on my ssytem.
if i do however, please some one tell me. I can wipe it out ASAP. to my
knowlede, there is no fix, for goldfish. other than emailing itself out, i
don't know what it does. but i'm not taking any chances. and neither
should anyone else.
update, scan and quarenteen. then reformat once all your safe files are
backed up. that's what i had to do the last time i got hit. hopefully, you
all will have better luck at avoiding goldfish, than some people i know.
i'm off to rebuild a system take care.
This is going out to all my Yahoo lists. Recently I was sent a number
of emails to this inbox as well as my work inbox, with attachments
that were both visible and hidden. I experienced this a few months
ago, and directly after opening the emails with "hidden" attachments I
began having trouble with my system. Because they were suspect, I've
begun deleting all emails with attachments (unless of course I know
the sender) and those emails with addresses I don't recognize and with
an unusual amount of bytes. So this is just to let everyone know that
if for whatever reason you decide to contact me, and you don't utilize
the function on your email options that allows a name to be displayed,
please don't play mysterious with me and put something in the subject
tag that might make me want to delete it without opening it. And
please, do not send me attachments unless I know your email or you
tell me in advance that you want to send me something. These hidden
piggyback trojans did a really good job of destroying my system and
made me reformat my drive three times in as many months.
Just to put folks on the alert, I received one such email today that
told me I ought to "open the attachment and enjoy". The subject tag
was "goldfish". This may be innocent stuff, but I can't take chances
anymore with it.
Thanks,
Karen Koehler
Lara Cody (Lamika) played a blonde Fame groupie in "This is Spinal
Tap", a movie about a fictional rock band.
She also voiced Dr. Aikens in the 1996 series, "Eagle Riders".
("Eagle Riders", by the way, also starred Heidi Noelle Lenhart as
Kelly Jenar. Lenhart played Jenny Garrison in the 1992 NBC teen
sitcom series, "California Dreams", which is about a rock band.)
Lara Cody also voiced Kay / Kei in the 1989 dub of "Dirty Pair". Her
costar was none other than Wendee Lee as Julie / Yuri.
(Kei, by the way, has a cameo in VHD1985 outside of a "dance club"
called Hit Paradise, where I, coincidentally, had Lamika sing as part
of a rock band in "Second Chance".)
Lara Cody voiced Moriki in the dub of the 1998 anime, "Kasei ryodan
Danasight Four-Nine". Her costar was none other than Barbara Goodson
as Photon.

Run Scandisk again. Your hard drive has crosslinked sectors. Removing
the files will just make the problem go away until *another* file uses
those sectors. Moving stuff to CD will only temporarily shunt the
problem off, it'll come back until you do a good full Scandisk & such.

It sounds like I'm compaigning, but I thought I might mention this. If
anyone is having similar cluster problems, or errors are showing up in
large quantity, get Norton SystemWorks 2002. There's some new functions
and the "fixer" option is doing a really wonderful job of keeping my
computer up to speed. It's much better than past versions IMHO. You can
probably download it off one of the networks, but even if you buy the
program, you won't regret getting it on your system.

Ooh! Thank you, Erin! I think that my local comic shop (local meaning
a 38-minute drive from my house or a 22-minute drive from work)
has "Animerica". I'll look for it.
You all might have noticed that I haven't been as active as usual on
here recently. I've been having this rather...odd problem with my
computer. Some MP3s have suddenly started taken up 30+ MB of space
for no reason, and they're always incomplete when I play them. More
recently, some JPGs have become messed up. I think this is due to my
downloading "Witchblade" episodes when I leave the computer on at
night. I've recently run ScanDisk, and it says that 2 (or sometimes
3) files are sharing the same cluster.
Well, I think everything's okay now. I've burned stuff to CDs and
freed hard drive space, so this probably won't happen again.

AX 2002: Urban Vision Panel
posted on 2002-07-06 07:42:35
UV looking at production involvement rather than licencing..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------
Urban Vision's first topic of conversation was the upcoming Ninja Scroll
series that they are involved in the production of. Rhona Medina,
Marketing Manager at Urban Vision, was not able to say just how involved
they are in the production though. The series, which is still in
pre-production, will not be out until at least next year and should be at
least 13 episodes long.
On the topic of Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Rhona mentioned the Japanese
dub that was recently released on DVD in Japan and said that at the
moment UV had no immediate plans to release it in North America, however
a special edition DVD with more features will probably be released in the
future when UV is able to get the features together. Special features
would most likely include the Japanese dub, a DTS soundtrack, and
storyboards for the full series amongst other things.
Also on the topic of Vampire Hunter D, we were informed that the titles
was doing extremely well and selling out at many video stores. When asked
if more of the books would be turned into Anime, Rhona responded that
while there were no current plans, she saw no reason why not.
When asked about catalog titles, specifically the Final Fantasy OAV, it
was explained that Urban Vision did not hold the DVD rights to the title
and could not release in on DVD without a renegotiation of the contract.
Regarding other catalog titles, Rhona confirmed what everyone already
suspected, that UV's delay in releasing many catalog titles on DVD was
due to their commitment to the Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust movie, but
that they would be releasing these titles on DVD, evaluating whhich ones
to release base on the amount of time left in their license.
When questioned about the lack of licensing in the recent months, Rhona
informed those present that UV was more interested in co-producing new
anime as opposed to licensing already Anime. The difference being that as
a co-producer UV would have significant input into the creation and
production of the title.
Rhona also mentioned that the lilvision.com website was launching this
weekend.

"Since Bloodlust got a Japanese audio track in Region 2, guess what?
Urban Vision will be releasing a director's relase of the dvd with the
Japanese audio, possible DTS, and other extras, including more
storyboards. This will not be released until earliest next year."
I hope they provide an e-mail for folks to write in with suggestions; I
want to suggest they add a commentary track. Did anyone ever see the
commentary Jack Fletcher, Alex Fernandez, and John DeMita did on the
"Petshop of Horrors" DVD? I thought it was wonderfully funny and

of _Animerica_. Not only is there a review of the Bloodlust DVD,
complete with screen captures, on page 54, but D also made it into "Sex

I bought this a couple weeks ago, but it should probably still be out
