Description

This group is specifically for discussion to assist professionals who manage volunteer programs in local government (city, county, state and federal). The challenges and issues for volunteerism in municipalities and government may differ substantially from those in “traditional” non-profit-based volunteer programs. Volunteer programs in this yahoo group could help those in parks and recreation, library system, human services, criminal justice system, city hall, human resources, military, school district, etc. Please feel free to join our group to read about and brainstorm the issues and challenges our volunteer leadership is tackling nationwide in government programs.
