The Order of DeMolay is a fraternal youth organization for young men ages 13-21 bonded together for mutual development. The fraternity recognizes its responsibilities as members of the community to live cleanly and manly as upright citizens, giving full recognition to our parents so as to be worthy for the commendation of all good men.

The Order of DeMolay was founded in Kansas City, Missouri, U.S.A. With over 1,000 chapters throughout the United States, and thousands more in other countries. DeMolay also has chapters in Bolivia, Panama, Italy, Germany, Australia, Canada, Philippines, Brazil, Japan, Colombia and other Asia-Pacific countries.

Sometime in October of 2000, Bro. Erwin R. Ocampo and some Far East brethrens visited the late Dad Virgilio E. Bunao, who was then the Charter Master of the newly established Jose Abad Santos Memorial Lodge #333 in Mabalacat, Pampanga. Bro. Erwin R. Ocampo proposed to Dad Virgilio E. Bunao a prospect of establishing a DeMolay Chapter at the said lodge. Dad Virgilio E. Bunao agreed to the proposal without any hesitation and welcomed DeMolays to use the lodge and to conduct meetings including its activities while the petition for Letters Temporary was being processed.

Many problems faced the newly formed chapter during the process. First was,the proximity of both lodges namely,Jose Abad Santos Memorial Lodge #333 and Leonard Wood Lodge #105, which would create competition to both Chapters regarding the recruitement of membership to the Order. Another problem happened unexpectedly was the death of Dad Virgilio E. Bunao on April 4, 2002 at Summerville, South Carolina, U.S.A due to lung cancer. The Brethrens then decided to change the name of the application for Letters Temporary in his memory.

Months have passed and finally on July 26, 2003, Virgilio E. Bunao Memorial Chapter was instituted under Letters Temporary by Grand Master of the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay Dad Rosendo C. Herrera, PM.
