This is the discussion list for VAN (Vietnamese Adoptee Network) members, family, and friends. Feel free to discuss anything you please! We will also periodically email this list with official VAN news and information. If you are new to our community, please visit VAN's official homepage to learn more about us and VAN's mission.

For new members, please introduce yourself! As our community is dispersed across the globe, many of us know only a few people on the list, so for the benefit of those who don't, please send a brief intro within the first few days of becoming a subscriber.

One of the primary reasons that VAN was created was to create a safe medium for Vietnamese adoptees to express themselves and find their voice, hence this listserve was created. We care about our members and supporters, and are strongly supportive of freedom of expression. We welcome a diversity of opinions and viewpoints, however flames, abusive language, personal attacks, derogatory remarks and statements, racial slurs or messages with content sexual in nature will be disallowed. It is important for our members to understand that posts submitted to the listserve are subject to review prior to approval. If a pending message is deemed inappropriate or of questionable content, our listserve moderators will often give the poster an opportunity to edit or rephrase their original post and resubmit it. Chronically offensive, argumentative, or disrespectful members will be terminated and disallowed from this group.

No e-mail addresses are shared with third parties, nor will any unsolicited messages be sent from VAN as a result of joining this list. Thank you for visiting, and come on in!
