Animal rights legislation is spreading and Virginia is one of the most active states. Defend your right to own, breed and rescue pets in our state! VA-Pet Law is moderated for flames, trolls, off-topic posts; it may become a high traffic list as the legislative season approaches. We discuss how to fight bills or laws negatively affecting pets of all kinds: dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, reptiles, others. We'll talk mainly about state and local legislation, lawmaking and law-fighting practices and methods and such ideas as breed bans, mandatory spay and neuter, breeder registration, and licensing. Share ideas, resources, approaches. AR questions okay for educational purposes, but this is not an animal rights debate list. Discussion of related topics like breeding practices, rescue policies and so on should be mostly on the national pet-law list. Trolls will be removed.
